Home to Chicago’s largest park, DePaul University, andawe-inspiring historical architecture is Lincoln Park.
This neighborhood is the perfect proximity from the Loop to thelakefront, offering many of the city’s best bars and restaurants, upscale boutiques, cozy coffee shops, gorgeous parks, museums, and live theatres.

Lincoln Park, formerly known as Lake Park, was established in 1860. Just five years later, on June 12, 1865, the park was renamed to honor the assassinated President Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln Park is Chicago’s largest public park and stretches 1,208 acres along the lakefront.
Lincoln Park is where old and new architecture collide. From the quiet residential streets lined with two and three-flat brownstones, modernized single-family homes, or elegant mansions to high-rise condos along the Lake and student housing encompassing DePaul’s bustling campus, the neighborhood-style is timeless.
Lincoln Park has some of the best restaurants in Chicago, providing a wide range of diverse cuisine. From local late-night eats to fine dining on Halsted street, you’ll find something at every price point.
– Special occasion? Experience paradise at Summer House Santa Monica, insanely creative plates at Alinea, and park peacefulness at North Pond.
– Calling all my pizza lovers out there! Enjoy delicious thin-crust pizza in a rustic-style lodge at Homeslice or pizza-pot-pies at Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Co.
– Have you tried these seafood restaurants? We’re hooked on the crab legs at Half Shell and the signature maki rolls at Juno Sushi.
Lincoln Park’s nightlife is unmatched, offering a variety of options to fit any occasion. With an abundance of dive bars, rooftops, entertainment venues, and cocktail lounges, you will never be disappointed. Below are many of our favorites.
– Do you find comfort in old-style bars with cheap drinks and dim lighting? Check out neighborhood favorites Burwood Tap and Galway Bay.
– It’s wine o’clock somewhere, so why not relish at The J. Parker’s rooftop view along Lake Michigan or Love Street’s intimate atmosphere.
– Looking for a bar to cheer on your favorite team? Head on over to Broken Barrel and The Arrogant Frog for game day specials and a good time!
There is always something to do in Lincoln Park.
